A Timeless Tribute to the Historic 2,300-Mile Pilgrimage of Compassion

Since October 26, 2025, a group of Buddhist monks — originally 19, now continuing strong — has been walking barefoot across America on the Walk for Peace. Starting from the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Center in Fort Worth, Texas, they are covering approximately 2,300 miles through 10 states to reach Washington, D.C. by mid-February 2026.

 

🐕 Walking ahead or beside them is Aloka the Peace Dog, a rescued Indian Pariah whose name means "divine light" in Sanskrit. Aloka joined the monks during an earlier peace walk in India and has become the journey's beloved symbol — spreading joy one paw-step at a time and capturing hearts worldwide with millions of social media followers.

We approached these humble walkers to offer them the proceeds from this coin as a token of our gratitude for their sacrifice. But they surprised us. They refused to accept a single penny for themselves.

They said, "This walk was never for our personal gain. Please, send this support to the children in Africa who need it most."

Moved by their humility, we pledged to honor their selfless request. A portion of every coin sold will be donated directly to support children in Africa, ensuring their legacy of compassion lives on.
